Celebrity junk, yoo tewb, the jungle, me and you# 1.

Celebrity junk, yoo tewb, the jungle, me and you# 1.

“Thought control is self control. Self control is life control”. Me.

And, and, and, and, and, and.

“You can only think about what you know about”. Me.

Helow,

Now that you're here you may as well spend a few minutes reading .

Got the idea for this post whilst chatting to Richard Branson on the 'phone two weeks ago........ in a dream.

Not sure if it actually was two weeks ago, actually.

This is the first post of three, that contain, proverbs and quotes.

They were selected, by me, for you to think about and use to, amplify, guide and simplify, your probably less than satisfactory life.

Yep! Proverbs and quotes.  Don’t laugh!!!!

WHY SO?

It seems to me that too many misguided people allow their  mind and their life to become filled with and overwhelmed by crap stuff.

Stuff that we’re told we just gotta’ know or do to be a ‘somebody’.

Ninety nine per cent, (99%), of  it is, trivial, time wasting, time stealing, life stealing, bull excrement.

Personally, for myself, in all honesty:

I ain’t bleedin’ well interested if celebrity A is going out with celebrity B.

AND

I’ll never think, "The latest craze of putting a video on Yooo Toob, of your dog dancing is a great idea I’ll do it too”.

OR

I don’t spend even one second of my day thinking, “I can’t wait to know which celebrity will l get kicked out of the jungle this evening”.

I was once a freakin’ willing victim of this, ‘fill your mind and life with puke inducing garbage’ non - sense.

Complete waste of my mind - space and my thought - energy

So……… I figured that to live better I needed to think better.

I just had to discover  better 'food for my thoughts.

Information that’ll actually make my life, more meaningful, more ass - kickingly authentic.

Eventually I identified two, quality, limitless,  timeless, sources that offered all that I needed.

I now always got better stuff to think about:

Proverbs and quotes.  Don’t laugh now either!!!!

I’ve been doing this for several years now and it has really guided me to become, more focussed and less confused, about how I think and ‘live’ my life.

So then …….a proverb is:

“A simple and concrete saying, popularly known and repeated, that expresses a truth based on common sense or experience”. (Wikipedia)

Can’t argue with that.

“Quotes by respected thinkers have the same, get life - smart thinking advice as proverbs”. (Me)

Wanna argue with this? Hope not.

A proverb example:

“Two heads are better than one".

(Making a decision about anything is usually better with the help of another person). My version.

Makes sense…… yeh?

Below, in Part 1 are, some proverbs, in Part 2 and Part 3 some quotes, that I think are worth you applying to your life.

Well …..any life really.

Read them all, then choose and write down one proverb from Part 1. Write it on a ‘Post It Note’ thingy, stick it, on the fridge, on the bathroom mirror,  and start thinkin’ n’ doin’ that for ten days.

Do the same thing for a quote from Part 2 and Part 3.

That's thirty days and three new ways to learn to think and live different.

Rinse and repeat for as long as you want. Some of it'll stick.

It'll change your thinking and .............. your life.

Has for me.

Part 1. Proverbs. (My interpretations in brackets)

"All good things must come to an end".
(You can't expect things to always go completely as expected so don’t be surprised when things go pear shaped).

"The squeaky wheel gets the grease”.
(You more noticed if you make a fuss. If you wait patiently, no one's gonna’ help you).

“When the going gets tough, the tough get going".
(Strong  minded people don't give up when they come across challenges. They just work harder).

"No man -or woman- is an island". -or woman- added by me.
(You can't live completely independently. Everyone needs help from others).

"Fortune favours the bold”.
(People who go after what they want achieve more than people who choose to live safe)

Part 2. Quotes from respected thinkers.

“Most people would sooner die than to (really) think. In fact - they do so”.  Bertrand Russell

“If you don’t succeed at first, there’s no need for the F word (Failure). Pick yourself up and try, try again.” – Richard Branson

“Only stupid people don't change their minds”.
Boutros Boutros-Ghali

“An empty head is not really empty; it is simply stuffed with rubbish. Hence the difficulty of forcing anything into an empty head”.   Eric Hoffer

“It costs to be stupid. The stupider you are, the more it costs”. Sherrill Brown

“Unintelligent people always look for a scapegoat”.
Ernest Bevin

Part 3. Quotes Mega Thinker,  Leo Nardo Davinci.

(A.K.A Leonardo da Vinci)

“People of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things”.

“One can have no greater mastery than mastery of oneself ”.

“Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do”

“Learning never exhausts the mind”.

Most people do everything by habit”.

“He who thinks little errs much”.

He (or she) who can copy can do”. (Brackets mine)
