Hi there from sunny Spain,
No matter what I write, I’m going to piss someone off. It's inevitable, unavoidable... and .........irrelevant.




Because, whether I like it or not, my blog readership is made up of all kinds of people.



If I thought, for one second, that I can please them all, I'd be on a loser.



So I don't try, it's a waste of my time and creative genius.



If I conform to the standards that the majority of the,  "Success, in seven days, with very little effort on your part", marketers  use,  then I expect to get the same response as that majority.



These are strategies that I refuse to use.


Which is why I get:


Comments from people all the time about how, in ya 'face, possibly rude, ignorant?  or too real, I am especially in my more recent writings.




Comments from other people who think that I'm, sincere, to-the-point, honest, human, down-to-earth and b-----it free.


So, some are moron one side than the other.


Do I care?       Should I care?

Absolutely not.





I can't ever be Mr. Right for both. 



If I do try to appeal to both  I'll  have little or no, effect, no impact, on either group.


So I don't try!


Who do I listen to?     Who do I write for?



Who do I think will be my strongest supporters?



Who do I think will gain the most benefit from what I write?

And, I  know that: I've got to 'get this right' for all concerned


In, (marketing/advertising/reaching/teaching/empowering) terms, it's called, polarizing.


It means that  I'll   gain and retain the attention of those people who I know I can be of most help to.


Soooooooooooooo........... I............. knoooooooooow that:


 “I can please some of the people all of the time, I can please all of the people some of the time but I can't please all of the people all of the time”.
(*  From the original quote by poet, John Lydgate, later modified by Abraham Lincoln, plus many other permutations .........apparently).



Bottom line, my approach, my 'take' on it all,  is this:


I 'm in the, attention seeking and people growing industry.


I can't 'do', people growing without attention seeking, can I?


The answer's yes.


Well, I think so.


If I don’t earn/deserve/grab people’s attention  I can’t help them to help themselves.


Most online self-help (hate them words and havin' to write 'em but needs must) marketers are, too scared to, be, do, or  write anything other than to just, play it advertising 'safe', copy each other, blend in and go with the flow, try to con, sorry, please, Mr. and Mrs. Everybody.


They never take a stand in order to polarize.



They compensate for this by using, gimmicks, tricks and hyped-up promises.


In order to get attention they, over- promise and under-deliver to keep you 'coming back for more'.


More manipulation, than education, yeh?


(Sorta like politics)



If people are not choosing to be on my a side. If they're not bloody well 'moved'  by what I write, then I’m just, Mr. A. N. Other, shitty self -help peddler.


If I’m not 'turning people off', I’m not 'turning people on' either.


If people aren't on 'my side' and let me know  so I won't take offence.  My advice though would be,  "Just don't stay sitting on it, (the fence)". That's how you'll find, what 'does it' for you. I sincerely hope that you will.


If y' are on  my side of the fence, I hope I can continue to float your boat.

P.S. For me, this blog, is about building relationships with
people. It's for those  who, ‘get' my message, who gain useful insights and appreciate what I write about in it.


I wouldn’t want it any other way. For them, or me.


And yet, what I see, every time I visit a website from most other s-h marketers, is the same, boring, mundane, vanilla, vomit- inducing, advertiser speak,  emotion manipulating, tripe,  that, has no personality, little credibility and ............ forget ethics.
