Know what knowledge is and what it can do for you ? I do. You can too.
Sooooooooo........ what is knowledge?
Wikipedia: “Knowledge is, a familiarity, awareness or understanding of someone or something, such as facts, information, descriptions or skill which is acquired through experience or education by perceiving, discovery or learning".
(This post gets a bit technical, wordy and expert- speaky in parts. Stick with me and hopefully ‘my take on it’ bits will make it all understandable).
First one below.
Me: Knowledge is, any information that you can understand and use for your benefit and the benefit of others.
Use it or lose it.
Knowing it is one thing. BUT. If ya’ don’t understand it, you can’t use and do it. (It, can be any area of knowledge. Your decision)
Taxi drivers in London, England, have to learn ‘The Knowledge’ before they are allowed to operate a taxi in the city.
From, The Daily Telegraph, Thursday 7th May 2015. “Knowledge boys” (or girls), spend years driving through London learning thousands of streets and the quickest “runs” or routes from one point to another. Most do this by scooter, covering thousands of miles in the process.
A Knowledge Society.
Wikipedia: "A Knowledge Society, generates, processes, shares and makes available to all members of the society knowledge that may be used to improve the human condition".
The Social Theory of, a knowledge society.
Wikipedia: "The social theory of, a knowledge society, believes that knowledge is fundamental to the growth of, individuals, politics, economics, and culture of modern society".
"A knowledge society promotes human rights and offers equal, inclusive, and universal access to all knowledge that is created. The 'UNESCO World Report 'established two principles that are essential for development of a fair knowledge society through:
A. Equal access to education.
B. Universal access to information.
Education and a knowledge society.
Wikipedia: "In a true Knowledge Society, education is not restricted to school. Information Communication Technology allows learners to seek information and develop knowledge at any time and any place where access is available and unrestricted.
I believe that the, best, most important, most worthwhile knowledge to know is stuff that helps people become 'better' at life. Knowledge that is, Self - Empowering.
You can learn/get knowledge about anything you want. But the 'best' knowledge is knowing and understanding how to, grow, improve and become a better, you. That's, Self-Empowerment. This does read bit like the previous paragraph. Oh well. No extra charge.
The Knowledge Value Chain.
Wikipedia: "The term Knowledge Value Chain first came into common use around 1999, in business management. It means: Improvements flow from the knowledge integration that occurs when techniques are known and applied to ‘the continuous improvement of people worldwide".????????????????
Me :What you know will always be of value to someone who, doesn’t know what you know. So go tell them what you know.
The Knowledge Value Chain is a process of:
1. Knowledge acquisition. (Learn stuff).
2. Knowledge storage. (Store it in your mind/ somewhere).
3. Knowledge application. (Understand it and put it to use).
4. Dissemination of knowledge. (Tell others about it).
(I added the words in brackets).
A Knowledge Value Chain. Pretty eh? It's also ..p o w e r f u l.
Red, research. Green, learn it. Yellow, understand it. Blue, pass it on.
Me: I think that the best, Knowledge Value Chain, is a sequence of steps by which individuals build their own personal - development plan.
A Knowledge Worker.
Wikipedia: "Knowledge Workers are people whose main capital is knowledge. For example engineers, doctors, architects, scientists, accountants, lawyers and academics. Their job is to, think for a living".
Me: Knowledge Workers learn stuff that people can use to get more out of their life and tell 'em about it. This could, and should, be any one who has knowledge that others can benefit from.
Me. I know what I know, from years of study and 'getting knowledge' about stuff and stuffing my mind with stuff, that would make me a better, more complete, more useful, more successful person.
No, ‘cause. Now that I have that knowledge, I’m a Knowledge Worker in the area of Self-Empowerment. I understand it. I want others to learn about and benefit from what I know.
This blog is my way of passing on what I know. Wanna' know more?

P.S. I'm in the process of writin' a book or two or three that contain all the knowledge you'll ever need to become a better you. It's taking much longer than I thought it would to research and write' 'em. BUT, keep coming back here and one day they'll be here.
