First, here’s some great information from James Allen’s world famous book, ‘As a Man Thinketh’.

How you act, is driven by what you think. This process produces effects in your life. The effects make you the creator of your life.
What a load of b-----it.
No it’s not. Let me explain. When you THINK a thought then DO the thought you CREATE and will HAVE an EFFECT in your life. Same applies to you as a person.
Example 1. You THINK, “I’ll paint that fence tomorrow”. Tomorrow comes you DO the paintin’ bit. You now HAVE, in your life, an EFFECT that wasn’t there before. A nice newly painted fence. Your thinking and you actions created it.
Example 2.You THINK, “Next week I’ll start exercising”. DO that. Six weeks later you have become, fitter, healthier, you. You’ve effected you in a good way.
For each example you could have changed your, mind/thinking/self-talk. Decided not to paint the fence, but fix the gate, or that you start that exercise regime in a month. In each case you changed your mind /thinking. Because of those changes the effects in your life and in yourself were different.
Why is changing your thoughts/self talk so important? Because every time you act on a thought you create an effect of some kind in your life. Good thinking and doing causes good effects. Bad thinking and bad doing cause bad effects.
To change your life and develop new thinking patterns you gotta:
Monitor you thoughts. Be honest about which ones are rubbish.
Dump them. Replace them with better thoughts. Keep doing this until you dump all your rubbish thinking. Do it one thought at a time.
It only takes one good thought to start to change everything
Changing you thoughts and doing them is the quickest, most effective and most easily applied way of making life and personal changes.
Who says so? Me. I can say/write this because over many years I’ve looked at most so called self -help methods. No, not all of them, but enough to know what’s, understandable, do-able and works.
While doin’ this I became totally convinced that new thought(s) followed by action is the one and only, person centred, personally controllable route to change.
This is bleedin’ important but most people never ever get to know about it. Sadly, 'cause it's hidden amongst all the self-help expertise, (expert- tease) ‘out there’.
Controlling and changing your self-talk, your thinking, is :
* The, fastest, most effective, formula you can use to make changes in your life.
* Something you can start as soon as ya’ finish reading this post.
* As simple as controlling your thought-life.
* The one way you can apply true self -improvement.
* The direct link between you and what you do.
* Having the power to control what you DO
* Your choice to DO what creates positive effects in you or your life..
You can only THINK about, and DO, what you know about.
What’s in your mind? I do mean in. What information? What do you know? Brain Surgery? Car Mechanics? Rocket Science? Football? Poker?. If you know, have learned about, any of these. Great! You can THINK about them. If not then you can’t THINK about them. So you can’t DO them.
Now ya’ know about, got the information about, thought, action and change. Now you can THINK about it. Now you can DO it. Now you can apply this power to make changes, in yourself and your life.
The how-to of change.
Go THINK better. Go DO better. Go HAVE/CREATE better EFFECTS/CHANGES in yourself and your life.
