WHAT REMARKABLE THINKERS THINK ABOUT THINKING.

WHAT REMARKABLE THINKERS THINK ABOUT THINKING.

Hello and welcome,

My journey into learning about and understanding the science of thought, mind etc began four years ago on the basis of the following two quotes.

1. The proliferation of ‘things’ of all kinds and ‘lives’ of all kinds presents one unbroken chain of evidence to support the fact that man is the maker of his own destiny; and his thoughts and his acts are the tools with which he does the making . Albert Einstein. (I'm sure Albert should have included women as well)!

2. Thought is the original source of all wealth, all success, all material gain, all great discoveries and inventions and of all achievements. Claude M. Bristol.

Below are few more quotes to, 'make the point'. They come from ‘thought leaders’ who have confirmed my findings, belief and experience.  They are a selection of quotes from a wide range of great thinkers who, like myself,  learned  to understand and unleash the proven power of the human mind and its products, thoughts.

Read, copy, paste, learn and use the ones that ‘grab your thinking’  the most! (If you don't know the names of some of the 'quoters', Google them.)

Nurture your mind with great thoughts, for you will never go any higher than you think. Benjamin Disraeli.

Thought is the parent of the deed. Thomas Carlyle.

No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thinking. Voltaire.

Never be afraid to sit awhile and think. Lorraine Hansberry.

You and I are not what we eat; we are what we think. Walter Anderson.

Too often we... enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought. John F. Kennedy.

The trouble with most people is that they think with their hopes or fears or wishes rather than with their minds. Will Durant.

Some people get lost in thought because it's such unfamiliar territory. G. Behn.

It is well for people who think, to change their minds occasionally in order to keep them clean. Luther Burbank.

Few people think more than two or three times a year; I have made an international reputation for myself by thinking once a week. George Bernard Shaw.

Thoughts, like fleas, jump from man to man. But they don't bite everybody. Stanislaw Lec.

The world we have created is a product of our thinking; it cannot be changed without changing our thinking. Albert Einstein.

One cannot think crooked and walk straight. Author Unknown.

Thought is the wind, knowledge the sail, and mankind the vessel. Augustus William Hare and Julius Charles Hare.

A man is not idle because he is absorbed in thought. There is a visible labour and there is an invisible labour .Victor Hugo.

Men can live without air a few minutes, without water for about two weeks, without food for about two months - and without a new thought for years on end. Kent Ruth.

You cannot plough a field by turning it over in your mind. Author Unknown.

The mind is what it thinks. To make it true, think true. Nisargadatta Maharaj.

My contribution to the list.

What you think and what you do, determine what becomes of you. Me.

Go think and do!

Beneficially yours, always,

Phil
