Hello and welcome,
I once read, or heard of, this little 'gem'. Person A, to person B. “The answer‘s ‘no’. What’s the question”? Try it with someone you know. You'll understand it better. I say it a lot to my wife! She smiles (almost) every time.
Below are some questions. The honest answer to each is, yes. If you are honest with yourself you'll agree with each answer.
Q. Is it true that you can think? A. Yes.
Q. Is it true that you can think whatever you like? A. Yes.
Q. Is it true that nobody else can make you think what you think? A. Yes.
Q. Is it true that you are totally in control of whether you act on a thought or not? A. Yes.
Q. Is it true that if you do something (act on a thought) you create an effect in your life? A. Yes.
Q. Is it true that these effects will have consequences for yourself and someone else? A. Yes.
Q. Is it true that, to a large extent, you know before you act, what the effects of your actions will be? A. Yes.
Q. Is it true that you are the only person involved in the process? A. Yes.
Q. In general terms is it true that other people cannot force us to think or do what we don’t want to think or do? A. Yes.
Q. Is it true that what you think and what you do are solely in your control? A. Yes.
Q. Is it true that if you 'think' something it’s your choice to do it or not? A. Yes.
Q.Is it true that you and you alone are responsible for the whole process? A. Yes.
Q. Is it true that we are all totally responsible for our own thoughts and action and the effects this causes in our life? A. Yes.
Q.Is the above information T R U E.? Totally Reliable Understandable Evidence. A. (I hope you're thinking, yes)
I know that there is an element of repetition in the questions but this helps to make the information 'stick'.
If the information above is true then, why do most of us blame others for:
1.What happens to us.
2. What we cause to happen in our life.
3. What we cause to happen in the lives of others.
4. The effects that our thinking and doing causes?
THE, THINK, DO and THINK , DON’T DO, formulas.
The ,THINK + DO formula:
THINK + DO. THINKING plus DOING, CAUSES an EFFECT. (If you think a thought and act on it YOU WILL create an EFFECT).
The, THINK + don't DO formula.
THINK + DON’T DO.(THINKING and NOT DOING equals NO EFFECT). If you think a thought and don’t act on it there will be no EFFECT.
Generally speaking thoughts can be considered as ‘good’ or ’bad’. If you think a good thought and you act on it a good EFFECT will take place.
GOOD THOUGHTS AND EFFECTS.
THOUGHT 1) “I’ll donate £10.00 a month to a local charity”. GOOD EFFECT. The charity can help more people. (If you don’t actually give the money then no one is helped.)
THOUGHT 2) “Tomorrow I’ll take the kids to the park after lunch”. GOOD EFFECT. Happy kids, Mum has a bit of time to herself and you have now earned a Gold Star from them all. (If you don’t DO it nothing happens!)
BAD THOUGHTS AND EFFECTS:
If you think a ‘bad’ thought and act on it a bad EFFECT will happen.
THOUGHT 1) “I’ll spend £10.00 a month on smoking weed”. BAD EFFECT. You become hooked on weed and move on to harder and more expensive drug use. (If you don’t DO it you never get hooked)!
THOUGHT 2) “Tomorrow afternoon I’ll go to the pub and watch the live football match on the big screen T.V.” BAD EFFECT. You spend money you possibly can’t afford on beer. You get home drunk, your wife is totally p…..d off. You have a row which lasts for the rest of the weekend!( If you don’t DO it the bad effect is avoided)!
The six most critical words, when used positively, can give you the life you desire are: THINK. DO. HAVE. CAUSE. CREATE. EFFECT. Under normal circumstances, they are the basis of everything that happens in your life, my life and the life of every person on this planet.
The two step process THINK +DO are the CAUSES which CREATE EFFECTS in the life of every person on this planet. On the basis of what you THINK then DO you will CREATE and HAVE a particular kind of life!
