Hello and welcome,

There is such a wide range of emotions and feelings it is very difficult for any person to be fully ‘in control’ when responding to ‘subconsciously contaminated’ thoughts. Millions of people live their whole life as slaves to their feelings and emotions. The actions that they carry out in response to subconsciously contaminated thinking  are unstable, don’t make sense and are unpredictable.

There are only two possible ways that you can operate in life, consciously or subconsciously.


The same applies to emotion and feelings!

Your subconscious mind is the source of a whole range of irrational thoughts that trigger confused, actions, emotions and feelings.

Every psychologist, psychoanalyst and hypnotherapist is in the business of trying to alleviate the  subconscious thoughts that trigger actions, feelings and emotions that cause people a great deal of distress in life.

Anxiety, low self -image, bulimia, anorexia, phobias-(around 130- last time I checked). This list includes, papaphobia, fear of the Pope! What about halitophobia, fear of bad breath? Or anthophobia fear of flowers?

Each of these behaviours is initiated by uncontrolled and unwanted subconscious 'thought content' in our thinking. The subconscious content of our thought(s) is laid down at a time when we are all still learning about the world.

Can a rationally, sensibly, consciously-thinking person really be afraid of, ( have a phobia about),  a button, a clown or hair? For some people this is the case. Their lives are negatively affected by irrational (subconsciously influenced) thinking.

Until we learn to, control, overcome and disempower our subconscious thoughts we are at their mercy. Because  of  influences from our unpredictable, uncaring and undermining ‘subconscious mind’ many of us experience a less than ideal life.

Spending many hours, days, weeks, months, even years with a psychiatrist, psychologist, hypnotherapist etc is one approach to overcoming phobia related problems. The truth is that even this costly and lengthy process is not that good at eradicating these unwanted actions, emotions, feelings and behaviours.

Thoughts are the foundation of everything you DO. Try getting out of your chair without first thinking, ”I’ll get up out of my chair”. The same goes for “I’ll make a cup of coffee”. I’ll take the dog for a walk”. You have to think it before you can do it! This happens very quickly but it does happen in exactly the way I have described!

The only part of our mind that we can learn to have control over is our conscious. By learning to, strengthen, control, manage,  our conscious mind and making it the master/boss/guardian/Security Guard of our thinking we can learn to be in control of our thinking. By controlling our thinking we control our actions by controlling our actions we control our life.

Careful what thoughts you 'use '.

I have studied several hundred books and articles about, thought, thinking, thought development and control.  The best and most understandable  description I have read that describes the role of our conscious mind in our thinking is as, ‘The Gatekeeper’. This description comes from the book, 'The Master Key System ', by Charles F Haanel.  He is respected worldwide as one of the best  new- thought leaders. Thanks for that Charles,  it changed my way of thinking and my life.

What about, ‘The Referee’? What about, ‘The Coach, in place of The Gatekeeper?  Whatever floats your boat.   We are each capable of  learning to assessany thought and deciding whether it is one that is beneficial to us or not. If any thought you have seems to be unrealistic or doesn't make sense, trash it and think a better conscious one. Learn to use your, gatekeeper, referee, coach?

Thought, “I’ll kick the dog”. You do this. Dog bites you. You kick the dog again. Dog bites you even harder. If, on having the original thought, you had consciously, sensibly and rationally assessed the thought and the likely effects of you acting on it,  you would not have kicked the dog. It makes sense to me!

 Everything you  do is, preceded by, triggered by, a thought.

The ability to think consciously is not difficult to understand or learn. Living consciously is a very important subject in the area of self- help. It is something we can each learn to do for ourselves. Thought assessment, self assessment and self-understanding lead to Self-Empowerment. Once you learn to, think consciously, you can take control of your negative, harmful, or nonsensical, feelings, emotions and actions, and their undermining effects on your life.

I'm not a trained ‘psych’ anything but I will not let that stop me from wanting to , enlighten, teach and help to, ‘grow’ people, through what I know. My years of  research have taught me the essence of  Self-Empowerment. What we think and what we do!

People in-the-know! Know!

Ekhart Tolle, Tony Robins, Jim Rohn, Earl Nightingale and many other extremely influential teachers of human development were not formally trained in any of the ’mind disciplines’. They each have, however, improved, developed and renewed the lives of millions of people worldwide. The people mentioned above and many more, have been responsible for instructing, guiding and empowering hundreds of thousands of people to become ‘more than they once were’.

Like me they spent their lives questioning, researching and learning to understand how people actually operate and offered their own well - researched, helpful findings.

What each of these influential people used was ‘common sense’ and what I call ‘experiential learning’ to discover how we all operate in practice.

These ‘influencers’ and ‘teachers’ provide information that we can each learn, understand and use in order to ensure that we ‘think right and live right!

It ain’t rocket science!!!!!

Conscious, sensible, common–sense, understandable thinking, before we do anything, is the central, most important and most effective method that any of us can learn to, understand and use for our benefit.

I didn't know this 'stuff'  until I began my research! It's changed my life, one thought at a time.
