"A man is the product of his thoughts. What he thinks he becomes". Mahatma Gandhi. (I'm certain that he also intended this statement to apply to women).
What you think and what you do,
Determine what becomes of you!Me.
Your thoughts! Your responsibility! Your life! Me.
Hello and welcome,
Read all of this post, the few minutes you spend will make you a stronger, more capable, better informed person and because, it will work wonders for your life!
I have been trying to 'make a difference' to myself for the last forty five years and to others for twenty two of those years. Both periods in my life have been rewarding for me.
During the 'twenty two years' I was employed as a Lecturer, teaching Vocational Courses to sixteen to eighteen year old students in a Sixth Form College in England. I loved my job and knew that what I was doing was changing lives. Around twenty teenagers each year gained knowledge that helped them make progress in their lives. That gave me great, job and personal satisfaction! Although some students did make it hard to help them. Those who rally wanted to, 'want to learn' made up for that.
This came to an end in 2002 when I reired and came to live in wonderful Spain.
During each of the above mentioned phases of my life I almost gave up many times. When I got mad with myself or life. IF I'd had a lousy day at work. IF I thought, "Is it worth it"? IF my car broke down.
On such occasions I sometimes took a day, or three, or even ten days, off from my efforts, but something always drew me back to my need to become a better me and to also help others become more than they are.
I once read a list of "FIFTY-FIVE FAMOUS ALIBIS", By Old Man IF.
The most PLAN/DREAM/GOAL - wrecking word in life is IF. IF this. IF that. IF the other. IF I had more time. IF the world were an easier place. IF I were younger. IF I were older. IF I had more money. IF the sun shone every day. IF my childhood had been easier.
People who do not succeed have one distinguishing trait in common. They know all the reasons for failure, and have what they believe to be air-tight alibis to explain away their own lack of achievement.
Some of these alibis/excuses are clever, and a few of them are possibly justifiable. But alibis/excuses have no place on any road to life or personal achievement. Rightly or wrongly, the world wants to know only a few things about any of us! Are you making progress in life? Are you on a road going somewhere? Have you decided to grow, to become more and to evolve? These should be the same questions you are constantly asking yourself and you KNOW what your answer should be!
Here's the only way I know of how we can each actually take the IF out of LIFE. It's this - LIFE (minus the letters I and F) leaves the letters L and E. Like me choose to use the letters L and E to remind you of, Let's Evolve! Let's Exceed! Let's Ensure! Let's Endure! Let's Excel!
We can each learn to overcome those undermining IF times by making them simply just, a pause, a glitch, a minor, not a total halt in whatever we desire. Then make a new 'thought contract' with ourselves to Evolve, Exceed, Ensure, Establish, Endure and Excel in what we are working towards!

About five years ago I realised that I really missed the 'feel good'factor and the satisfaction of trying to help others to better themeselves and their life. So I thought back to all the stuff I had read over the years to help myself and others and decided that I could use this experience to continue to help others in the future.
So I wrote a book,'THOUGHTS MATTER!' (More than you think)! that took three years of research and writing. I then began a website and more recently I started this Blog. During this time I also nearly gave up. However, this mission I have, to 'be 0f use' in the world wouldn't go away and I know that it never will.
Did you know? Between 1931 and 1969 Walt Disney was awarded 35 Oscars.
(Not bad for a guy who was turned down, ridiculed and ignored by many film makers early in his career)!
The central , most important message, I can give to you is, as Winston Churchill said during the Second World War. "Never give up, never give up, never give up"!
Whatever it is that you are striving to achieve, take a break when you need to, you ain't a robot or a machine and if what you want to achieve doesn't 'go away' then come back to it again and again and again. Never Give Up . N G U. N G U.
