HAPPY ‘NEW THINKING’ YEAR

"A man is the product of his thoughts. What he thinks he becomes". Mahatma Gandhi. (I'm certain that he also intended this statement to apply to women).

What you think and what you do,

Determine what becomes of you! Me.

Hello and welcome,

Read all of this post, the few minutes you spend will make you a stronger, more capable, better informed person and because it will work wonders for your life!

I haven’t posted for a few weeks because of Christmas and New Year, so Happy New Year to you and I hope that you will enjoy a 'Beneficial 2013'.

As you know I know and believe that everything depends on how you think and act so please continue reading my posts and continue to improve your ability to use these two skills for your benefit.

This blog is all about HOW to learn to take charge of your thinking and as a result take charge of your life.

Three little words, huge message. THINK-DO-HAVE.

Here’s an example. If you THINK, “I’d like a can of beer”, then DO nothing, that’s what you’ll get, nothing. If you THINK, “I’d like a can of beer and then go to the fridge and take one out (DO something) you will HAVE your beer.

"Do nothing and get nothing in return".

My blog is essentially about expanding, focusing and empowering your life, or anyone’s life.

It has totally changed mine!

Did you know? Albert Einstein never learned how to drive a car!

I know that any changes in your life, especially ones that are worth making, are ultimately achieved through the building of good ‘thought- habits’. If I want to take part in the London Marathon I must develop the habit of training on a weekly basis. In order to actually DO the running practice I must cultivate the habit of purposefully THINKING and DOING the training on a weekly basis. This means that on one day, or more, a week I have to think, ”I will go training after work today", and then DO the training. Learning this habit of THINK-DO means that you can HAVE things in your life that were not there before.

This process is the basis of any desired life change/improvement. It will enable you to become a healthier, fitter and more successful person in any area of your life. New habits are not formed overnight. You can’t think, “I‘m going to become ten pounds thinner by the end of next week!” and expect it to be so. Well you can think that, but if you expect that it’s going to happen that quickly, you are clearly self deluded.

New ‘thought-habits’ must be cultivated through daily practice. It is generally accepted that you must practice a desired new habit, with as much thought focus as possible, every day for a month for it to be effective.

If you just THINK and don't DO, nothing will ever happen! If you only DO it for a week, it doesn’t happen long enough to take root. However when carried out for thirty days or more, it does. This doesn’t mean you will be totally successful each and every day but the important thing is that you try, and when you fail, learn from those mistakes.

THINK-DO-HAVE is the process I have gone through many times and it has become THE process for NEW habit production, change and self-empowerment for me.

The saying ‘Make haste slowly’ is the golden rule of change.

“You are better off going at thirty miles an hour in the right direction than at sixty miles an hour in the wrong one”. I read the words above or something like it several years ago. I think it was a Chinese Proverb.

It certainly made sense in the context of driving on long journey, which life is. I had certainly been in such situations on several occasions during my driving life (Buying a ‘Sat Nav’ for my car has been of great help, of course.)

The words above are also extremely relevant to your 'life journey'.

For me THINK-DO-HAVE is the ‘Sat Nav’ of SELF -EMPOWERMENT because I can plan, control and foresee every step of my future using this system. My THINKING and DOING have slowed down considerably in my everyday life by doing, as the words in the proverb suggest. As a result my THINKING and DOING have become much more focused and effective.

THINK- DO- HAVE  is a  S.U.P.E.R. ( Sensible. Understandable. Practical. Empowering and Repeatable) process for becoming SELF-EMPOWERED.

My sole purpose in writing each post  is to pass on the joy, power and freedom I have gained, and continue to gain, from living in the THINK-DO-HAVE way.

This simple three step process has given me the power to take total control of my life through my own efforts alone. It has made me,  SELF -EMPOWERED for the rest of my life.

For those of you who are really, seriously, interested or intrigued by the THINK-DO-HAVE process then try it for yourself over the next week.

THINK a thought, DO the thought and you will HAVE the effect/benefit in your life. Of course you must make the thought a good, sensible/beneficial one

Always working to help others to think better and become more than they currently are.

Beneficially yours, always,

Phil Soffé

  1. Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this blog.

It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s tough to get that “perfect balance” between user
friendliness and visual appeal. I must say that you’ve done a
superb job with this. In addition, the blog loads extremely quick for me on Chrome.
